Side Projects

Personal projects done over the years in my free time as part of my passion’s and/or hobbies.

Traditional & Digital Art

Since I was little art was a part of me, it begun with colouring books then I traded the pencils for paint brushes and recently a digital stylus.

Over the years I have delved into many types of art, from traditional oil painting to digital art of various styles ranging from Japanese inspired to traditional reminiscent, everyday I strive to nurture my artistic capabilities.

Since a young age I have grown to have a deep love and respect for the art of Manga, originating from Japan. Since then I myself have been inspired in my own personal works by the various art styles of Manga authors as well as Anime creators, I recently have been in the works of creating my own comic book heavily inspired by Manga as a personal project of mine for a loved one as an homage to the emotions that this culture has brought to my life over the years.

Within this project I got to work on my storytelling, creative writing, storyboarding and drawing skills.

Animation & Storytelling

Throughout my university journey I was given the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone and put my creative skills to use to delve into traditional 2D animation. Presented to you on the right is a short animation film we were asked to create with the theme: “a portal to another world”. I took a less literal interpretation of this, creating a story about how finding love can transform the world around you, turning it from something dark and lonely to a world filled with colour and beauty.

Interior Design

Before I changed degree’s to User Experience Design, I spent my first year in an Interior Design major where alongside my internship at a small Interior Design company, I gained CAD skills, colour theory and technical drawing knowledge.

Illustration & Graphic Design

As I begun my recent journey of creative writing, taking the opportunity to attempt to write my own novel after growing up passionately reading the works of great authors throughout history, I also decided to attempt designing the illustrations within the book as well as the book cover itself, here are some screenshots of my process of choosing a cover.

Creative Writing

Snippets of the tragedy-romance novel I have been working on this past year. Creative writing is a great passion of mine and I hope to soon utilise this knowledge to branch out into copywriting to assist my design career.
